FAB FOUR NEWS! IT’S HERE!
My brand new Beatles On Ukulele course starts this week. I’ll be building a full ukulele course with hours and hours of learning covering all periods of the Beatles career. You’ll learn all kinds of ukulele skills whilst also learning to play some classic gems by the Fab Four. I’ll be mixing up the styles to cover all kinds of learning including song analysis, chord melody, Fingerstyle playing and strumming too.
I’m sharing this lesson for free:
To keep things interesting, rather than going chronologically I’m starting with an absolute classic from Paul, which highlights the very clever songwriting skills of McCartney. It’s the perfect illustration of how something that sounds so beautifully simple is actually fascinatingly complex. As well as analysing the song I’ll show you some simple ways to easily play the most sophisticated of chords and we’ll look at taking chords to the fretboard, adding dynamics, suspended notes, triplet strums and much more!
New lessons will be added every week or two and you can either take part in the course doing each lesson as they appear or wait and do the whole thing once complete and record your progress.
You will be able to get the whole course including all the sheet music, plus much more at my website.
Here is the page for the course:
Matt, loving the Beatles course so far. Especially love the way you are incorporating different techniques into each lesson. Can you give a sneak preview of what other songs you plan to cover in the course?
Hi Matt,
Really excited about the Fab Four-tastic Course! Great song to start with, Penny Lane one of my favourites, recollect hearing it for the first time around 7 or 8 on the radio. The verse where the Fireman rushes in from the pouring rain I can remember distinctly as if it was yesterday.
