New lessons: Introduction to soloing for standard ukes and baritone too!

Writer's picture: Matt SteadMatt Stead

There are two new lessons up on the courses this week.

Jazz and Blues: Don't be scared of soloing!

In this fun new lesson from the Jazz and Blues Ukulele course I introduce you to improvisation and soloing on ukulele, showing you that there is no need to feel daunted or intimidated. We explore pentatonic scales and learn how to play solos simply and easily all over the fretboard. In the next lesson we will expand on this further looking at why soloing isn’t just playing notes, with things like tone, timbre, space, phrasing, rhythm and groove.

Baritone Ukulele: Soloing with pentatonics

And I haven't forgetten you lovely baritone players. I've recorded a special baritone version, arranged for baritone ukulele.
