I bought a used Ohana SK-30L Soprano body w/ tenor scale from a friend. It seems to have the same neck width as my Pono tenor, so plenty of room. It's not the ukulele I reach for every time, but it has a nice tone and is a nice instrument.

I really wear down my index nail strumming and sometimes have to use a pick that fits over my finger while it grows out. I don't love the sound but it gives my nail a chance to grow out. My thumb nail is problematic for me. It has a permanent split so picking is hard with the thumb. I'm experimenting with an adjustable thumbpick. I take biotin daily in hopes that helps my nails be stronger. Not sure this info is helpful.

I found the AUS's videos online when I first started playing. A few weeks later, I was driving through a parking lot and saw a guy walking. I pulled up to him and asked, "Are you the ukulele video guy?" I think it made his day to be recognized. He is a great leader and teacher. Players visit the group from all over--it's fantastic!
